The program helps develop basic first aid knowledge and skills, and the confidence to respond.
CPR, AED and Basic First Aid combination training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, and the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.

Individuals who require or desire CPR, AED and first aid knowledge and skills:

Designed specifically for individuals and is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. This extremely flexible program will help prepare individuals to respond to a cardiac arrest and choking. This program conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.

Individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire, or are required, to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED:

Blended Delivery 
(Online + In-Person Skills)
Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Perfect For:
Individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training.

Required for all students

Continuing educations (CE) hours for EMS professionals are available for ASHI
BLS from Health & Safety Institute (HSI), a CAPCE accredited organization.


Blended Delivery

The goal of this course is to provide new ASHI instructors with a strong foundation in teaching
knowledge and skill and to provide current ASHI instructors in continuing their education. The objective
is to help you develop confidence and competence to teach, evaluate, and certify participants in ASHI
Training programs.

Course Length:
This course is presented over three meetings of 8 hours. 48 hours total.

Intended Audience:
This course is designed for New instructors with little to no previous teaching experience
and Current ASHI instructors whose teaching certification has lasped, or required to
complete additional training.

ASHI Instructor Development Course Student Handbook (included)

The ASHI Basic First Aid course helps students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. This first aid training program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.
Intended for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers
but desire, or are required, to be certified in basic emergency medical care.

Skills Evaluation:
Students must perform all required skills for this first aid class competently
without assistance.


Blended Delivery

The ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) training program is designed to focus on supervising, caring for and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills and responding properly to ill or injured children or infants.
Perfect For:
Young people (11 to 15 years old) who are interested in providing babysitting services.
Prerequisites:                                                                                                           
None, however CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification strongly recommended.
Required for Successful Completion (Certification):
Written Evaluation:
Optional except when required by organizational, local, or state regulation.                                    
Skills Evaluation:
Students must perform required skills competently without assistance.                                  
Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives
rather than a prescribed instruction time.
